Protection from the Storm

"...if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good." - D&C 122:7

In our lives, we all experience storms that threaten to overturn our lives. Sometimes we seek shelter and wait for it to blow over. Other times we need to work through it and hope the storm isn't that severe.

The Temple is a place for me where the storms of life have less effect. When I go in, my spirit is soaked and muddied. I then have an opportunity to dry off and clean up. My spirit is strengthened so that when I leave, if I have not already overcome the storm, I am better able to battle the elements against me.
